Air Quality Levels

Good

Air quality is considered satisfactory, and air pollution poses little or no risk.

Moderate

Air quality is acceptable: however, for some pollutants there may be a moderate health concern for a very small number of people who are unusually sensitive to air pollution.

Unhealthy for sensitive groups

Members of sensitive groups may experience health effects. The general public is not likely to be affected.

Unhealthy

Everyone may begin to experience health effects; members of sensitive groups may experience more serious health effects.

Very unhealthy

Health alert: everyone may experience more serious health effects.

Hazardous

Health warnings of emergency conditions. The entire population is more likely to be affected.

Tracking air quality

The Wynd Tracker measures the amount of particulate matter (PM) in the air. PM includes things such as dust, allergens, industrial pollution, and more. The Tracker uses this measurement to calculate the air quality index (AQI). The tracker’s light color indicates the AQI.

Here's what the Wynd tracker's light colors mean:

  • Blue: AQI: 0-50
  • Yellow: AQI: 51-100
  • Orange: AQI: 101-150
  • Red: AQI: 151-200
  • Magenta: AQI: 201-300
  • Purple: AQI: 301-500

We use the EPA standard algorithm to convert particulate matter to AQI. Read more about particulate matter here.

Turn off Wynd's lights

Enable Night Mode by double-clicking the Auto button.

Charging

Charge your purifier:

Attach the supplied USB-C cable and charger. Plug the cable into the back of the purifier, and plug the charger into a wall outlet.

Charge your tracker:

If you have a Wynd purifier, dock the Tracker into the Purifier and turn on the purifier. The Purifier will charge the tracker.

If you don't have a purifier, slide the Tracker into the supplied charging dock, and plug the USB cable into a USB outlet such as a laptop or charging brick.

Resetting Wynd

If you're having trouble with Wynd, try resetting to see if it fixes the problem.

Reset your purifier

Hold down the power button for 8 seconds (or until the Purifier turns off).

Reset your tracker

Place a pen (or other sharp pointy object, such as a paper clip) into the small hole in the back.

Updating Wynd

At the moment, we only offer wireless device updates through the Wynd app (for iOS and Android).

Purifier

Tap the power button to turn the Purifier on and off.

Using Auto Mode

Auto mode automatically adjusts the Purifier's airflow based on the air quality (as sensed by the Tracker). Turn it on by pressing the "A" button. Both the Purifier and Tracker must be on and connected for Auto Mode to work.

Adjusting Wynd's airflow

Turn the top control ring to adjust the Wynd Purifier's airflow.

Change the filter

To replace your purifier's filter with a new one, follow these steps:

  1. Screw off the bottom cap.

  2. Take out the old filter and insert the new one.
